The pyramid is wrong!!Way too many carbs-!11 servings a day??Too much bread and carbs,not enough healthy fats(nuts,olive oil, omega oils)don't ask most doctors about nutrition,they have no clue.They say follow the pyramid.I have also seen diets that try to eliminate all fat from the diet,you can't do this!!That only causes your body to hold onto fats and not use them,thus making you gain more!Our bodies need good fats-nuts,avacado fish oils. A great book is "ultra prevention"by drs mark liponisand mark hyman.They are the medical directors of canyon ranch wellness center.Some good advice.

Heys... How sure are you on the mistakes in the food pyramid?
Have you personally tried to make use of one?
Sorry... Need to do some desperate research... So need to know more of your views...
