Hi I have a questione if your on the birth
control pill and have sex without a condom
and 4got to take it the next day is there
any chance of pregnancy..........

It really depends where in your cycle you
are. If you have unprotected sex there is
always the chance of pregnancy, but you're
only ovulating for a few days of the month
(around the first week after you finish
your period) and this is the most likely
time to become pregant. Of course if
you're on the pill you will not ovulate at
all, so if you have nearly reached the end
of your pill pack then it's unlikely that
you could get pregnant now. Missing one
pill the day after you've had sex is not
likely to get you pregnant, so long as you
took your pill as soon as you remembered
and are continuing to take them as normal.

Well I finished my last periods 2weeks ago
and thats when I ahd unprotected sex annd
he blew in me I missed the pill for 2days
because I was over his house for 2days and
I had 15 days left to the pack finished
and 10 days till it reached the red side
(period so I dnt no is there a chance ive
only been on the pill for like 3-4 weeks
now...........

Well first of all if you're gonna have
unprotected sex you need to start being a
little more sensible about using the pill!
As you missed 2 days of your pack I would
suggest you don't have unprotected sex
again and take precautions (use condoms)
until your period comes. If it doesn't
come within a few days of when you expect
it to i'd suggest you take a pregnancy
test (though don't take one too soon as it
can take a few weeks for the pregnancy
hormone to show up in your urine). If
you're having regular sex it is important
to take your pill everyday, if you're
staying somewhere overnight remember to
take them with you. It sounds like you're
not on the combined pill, and the pill
where you take them for 28 days without a
break is less effective than the combined
pill, which means you need to be even more
strict about when you take them. You
should be taking them at the same time
everyday.

There are alternatives to the pill if you
are unable to remember to take them.The
pill works great,however,you do have to
take them as directed.If you keep missing
pills and continue to have unprotected
sex,you could very well get pregnant.Maybe
depo would be a better choice for you.You
don't have to take a pill every day.Just
have an injection every 3 months.A birth
control method is only good if you follow
the giudelines.A lot of women don't follow
the directions and then get pregnant and
say that the method failed them.A pill is
a lot easier than a baby!I don't mean to
sound preachy,but if you can't remember to
use birth control,perhaps you are not
ready to be sexually active.Best of luck

Well I dnt think I am because I took it on
the day but I dnt mind having a baby im
just curios thats why I asked. Ive been
getting bad discharge brownish is it koz I
missed the pill.

Yes, you can have breakthrough bleeding
when you miss a pill/pills. It can be
like regular period bleeding, or it can be
brown.
As for the ovulating thing, every woman
ovulates at a different time of the month.
Yes, a lot of (if not most) women may
ovulate the week after their period, but
that does not mean that you do, or will.
So, be careful of that.
The combined pill doesn't work for me, so
I am on the other kind. (forgive me for
my lack of knowledge today) I am assuming
you are on this kind too....Just try to
remember to take them. Keep them in your
purse or something as you will most likely
always have that near you.
But, yeah, you may want to try the patch
or depo.

I agree with patty and hotasfrick, also
remember that b/c pills, shots and patches
are not 100%, especially, when you first
use the b/c devices, we are all different
and what works for one may not work for
another!

mean that im not prego......... Im just
worried becuase im supposed to be taking
roaccutane today and do not whant should I
wait to I get my next periods to be 100%
sure taht im not preg.

confused should i take the new pack of

What is roaccutane? I know it's an acne
drug but is it an antibiotic? If it is,
you should make sure (check with a doc or
pharmacist) that it won't interfere.
Antibiotics make birth control less
effective.
If you got your period, you can be 100%
sure that you are not pregnant.

If you missed so many pills, you should
not be having unprotected sex. You could
have spotted because of the sex, or a
period or something else.
You should take the new pack of pills. If
you miss one pill, you are protected if
you take two the next day. If you miss
more than one pill in a week, you are not
protected.
For anyone who is having trouble
remembering to take pills, there is
nothing wrong with telling your doc that
you need something easier to remember!!
There is the patch, the ring, an IUD, the
shot, all of these you only have to
remember once a week or once a month or
once every three months!!

Are you on a regular combined hormone
pill?
If you are, then no, you are not probably
going to get pregnant. Take the pill now
(if you haven't already) and continue
taking them as directed.
Missing one pill will not cause you to get
pregnant.
