Q: the Patch Reviews

I'm thinking about starting on the ortho evra patch, but i'm looking for opinions on it since I dont know anyone currently using it. The idea of only having to think about birth control once a week is very appealing, but i'm a little cautious. I've heard there are a lot of side effects and even weight loss.

Any reviews/opinions to help me out?

the Patch!
Hello, I was on the patch for about 8 months. I got off the patch and switched to seasonale. I didn't like the patch at all. I had many side affects but everyone is different. So you really don't know if you will have any side affects untill you try it. I didn't lose any weight, I actually gained about 5 pounds and my breast got bigger. The worst thing about the patch was the bad cramps I would get when I was on my period. After my period started it didn't want to stop. I never had bad cramps and bad periods with any other birth control. I've taken many different kinds.

You might just want to give it a try for a few months. I'm sure you will here both positive and negatives about this. So the best way is to try it for your self.

I Hated the Patch
Ok, granted I wasnt on it but a month, but I felt so nauseaus and dizzy and light headed by the 3rd week that I could barely get up and go to work. I didn't even finish it. I stopped in the middle of the 3rd week because I had to call in sick to work one day because I was so sick from it. Stopping like that in the middle made my period come early but it only took a month to get it back on track. The patch's physical side effects seemed much more extreme to me than when I was on the pill, but the patch did not have the mental side effects that I experienced on the pill.
