My suggestion is to do a watered down wersion of some diet you know about, like atkins, cheat moderately every three or four days and get on a workout schedule, 2 or 3 times a week. If you do it right, then the exercising will equal out the cheating and boost your energy at the same time.

Find a child minder or a fitness centre(maybe attached to a local pool) where kids can be minded while you do a class or get pilates so you cna do it when the kids are asleep or watching tv - &/or take the kids for a walk - you all get some good exercise.

Start doing some research - read other posts re atkins etc - decide what you could make work for you & take it slow.

Purple33,

the only thing that I have found that works is eating moderatly and getting a little excercise. Do you have dogs? Try taking them on a mile walk around the neighborhood. Or invest in a pilates tape or dvd. (i love pilates I do the 20 minute workout 4x a week and it works!) you can eat what you have in your house, add a big salad with dinner and cut out things like soda, candy, and other junk. When you order pizza order a veggie lovers and just eat a couple of slices. When you do cheat, don't fret no one is perfect. Hope this helps! Wink

My3sons--you Need a Protein Boost!! For Energy , Fat Burning
You need a body assessment--i'm telling ya....You need more protein daily!! A lack of protein will give you headaches, fatigue, moodswings, low metabolism, memory loss...Etc
protein works with your lean body mass to burn fat.....

That with a slight reduction in calories etc...Drinking lots of water 8-10 glasses daily wil also help with energy!

I was referred to a simple weightloss plan which worked for me

It works fast and is about a healthy balance of nutrition- which is what I wanted..They tell ya exactly what your daily protein requirements are etc...

It was a simple process...With real foods daily as well...

Hope that helps ya a bit...

Losing Weight
Actually, the best way to lose weight is to NOT start a diet. If you go ON a diet, you see you are always going to go OFF of it. Instead, find ways you can permanently change your eating habits so you won't ever have to worry about losing weight again for the rest of your life !

Establish good habits like eating breakfast, having healthy foods around the house, being mindful of eating a few fresh fruits and vegetables a day. When you start feeling the urge to snack, remember there is a bowl of fresh fruit and you haven't had your share yet today, and go slice up an apple. When you want something to munch on in the evening, have some 100 calorie snack bags around instead of chocolate candy bars and ice cream. Have some popcorn or a bowl of cereal.

Soon these will become second nature. You will always be reaching for a lower calorie food at meals and in between meals and your weight will be under control without you having to work at it!

Your slip ups could be due to the hormonal disbalance.Do you suffer from PMS or have sweet cravings ocassionally? You could be deficient in magnesium, chromium and eat not enough complex carbs.

You need a balanced nutritional programme that will provide you with the right ratio of carbs/protein/fat and help you lose weght. It should also be something that you can do for the rest of your life if you want a long-term result.
