Hi everyone. I'm new and found this site off of yahoo when I searched for "dizziness from birth control". Well, I turned 18 in may and started taking a form of birth control in january 2003, at 17. After talking with my mother and a ton of research, I decided to get on the depo-provera birth control shot because of my hectic life. In the beginning, I had long periods (2 months long sometimes) and was off for a week, then back on. I hated the shot. My hair grew super fast and long and unpredictable periods. Well, last month, june 15th (exactly 1 month before being due of another shot) I told my doctor that I wanted to swith over to the pill. This was because I will be going off to college on a track scholarship and trying to make it to a doctor every 3 months was going to be hard because I will be traveling so much. She said ok and earlier last week, thursday july 15th, I went in and she filled out a prescription for me, nortrel. Since I didn't know when my period was going to come, in order to take the pill on that sunday, I kept waiting around. Well, saturday night when I used the bathroom a little blood came out. I assumed that it was my period. I got the prescription yesterday morning and took my first pill at 11am. I know that you have to take the pills around the same time, but I will not remember to take the pill at 11am and decided that 8am will be a better time. I took the second pill today at 10am and plan on taking each pill an hour earlier until I get it to 8am. Today, I felt very dizzy and my vision was a little distorted. It felt like I was outside all day in the hot sun and came inside... You know how it is really dark inside when that happens. I feel kinda wierd now -- nausea is the main problem. My question is : are those symptoms normal? Do I feel this way because I switched over from the shot to the pill too soon? Or do I feel like this because I took the pill too early this morning? Please help b/c I do not know what is going on.
Thanks. Also, sorry for writing a whole book! I didn't know how to summerize it without taking out something important to get the best possible answer.
