I was diagnosed with the bilateral ddh at the age of six months. After spending the next six months of my life in a brace, my parents were told everything was perfect. Yet, at the current age of 20 I continue to experience severe pain in my left hip. Throughout my life I have seen no doctor other than a general practitioner and had no more than simple x-rays to examine the problem (which he says proves there is nothing wrong with my hip)... But I have no medical insurance to cover jumping from doctor to doctor to find one to help me. Does anybody have any suggestions or advice for me? What can be done; anything? Do I just have to live with the pain? What questions do I need to ask the doctor?
Thanks
shannon
