I don't take adderall but I think that in dealing with a dr who you want to do what you believe to be right the best way to get her help & to have her believe you is
a) to be totally honest about what you have been on(officially) in the past, when & for how long & the effects or lack of &
b) to explain when & why you took your friends adderal, the effects & positive changes you believe it has had & about trying 10mg & for how long etc then
c) listen to her - answer any other questions totally(capital letters here!!) honestly - I mean if she asks about drugs, alcohol, orgasms - anything you answer honestly - she will then begin to believe that she can trust you to tell her the truth then
d) if there are tests, or even other meds that she asks you to try - do these things & give any meds a fair honest go & report back according to what you found etc so
e)then you should have done your part in showing her you can be trusted, that you are willing to hear her views & try alternatives & there may be very good reasons why she may want you on something other than adderal - but she should if all else fails hear you & do as you ask.
Remember a dr is only a mechanic for your body & if a car mechanic didn't listen you go to another one!!!!
