3 years ago I had a serious accident I lost a lot of nerve skin and muscles and have been left mentally scarred and in constant and sometimes excrusiating pain,i can get over the mental side of things as time goes on it is just the pain side of it.I take 3*ibrupofen 800mg,60mg oxycontin,4 * 600mg gabapentin,10mg omeprazole and 4000mg co proxamol per day..
Has anyone had any treatment for pain and it has worked for them,or has anyone been prescribed any drug that has helped.
I have had physio, accupuncture, cortizone injections and tens machine, mri scans came back clear...Any info would be a great help.Thankyou for taking the time to read this

Did u say mri came back clear? And yet still in pain?

What did the doctor say is the cause of the pain then? Have u read john scarno?

So young and in so much pain and no obvious reason? Who can understand it? I think even modern science cannot fully explain it but still, the pain is real. Try john scarno and let me know down the road.

Sarno
It would be helpful if correct spelling were used. Sarno espouses a philosophy that pain is all in your head. If you can relieve your pain by thinking happy thoughts, more power to you.

Please dont poke fun at methods that have helped many others. The fact that benefits will only accrue to those who are commited doesn't devalue it. Younger prefessionals tend to be more one dimensional than older professionals. It is the training I think. It is healthy for the doctors but us consumers should adopt more flexibilty.

Show Me the Proof
If there is proof that the sarno psychological model works for adequate pain management, show your statistics here. Otherwise, any critiques I render are completely justified.

Patty....get a Life
This forum is for the expression of ideas and dissent. If you cannot handle it, why don't you find a "nice" place where everyone is in perfect agreement with each other. I would have suggested a martha stewart website until recently.
