I had a total abdominal hysterectomy 3 years ago. After my surgery, they sent my tubes, overies, and a part of my cervix to a lab in the armed forces. (they are supposed to have the best pathologists in the world) they found cancer in all of the samples. I am now on hrt and have to have a pap test done every 6 months. I am on prempro .625. I am having hot flashes, I can't sleep, I have gained weight, I have vaginal, dryness, I have no disire for sex, I am worn out all the time. I try to eat right. And I walk daily, but nothing seems to help. I would like to get off the hrt completly but I don't know if it's the right thing to do. It scares me sence they have proven that hrt causes cancer. Please help me!!!!

Post Complete Hysterectomy Problems
I had the complete hysterectomy a couple years ago, didn't your Dr. Tell you that you would automatically go into menopause after the surgery. I was told that I should not be on h.R.T. After them putting me on premarin(doctor error) for one month after sugery and I have heard it from other women that have had hysterecomies due to cancer that they did not have h.R.T. Because of the cancer. I feel, if I were you, I would get another opinion about the h.R.T.. I had weight gain also. Premarin is a steroid and steroids cause weight gain. Have you thought about maybe a natural herb, their is a naturopathic Dr. That is on this forum alot that is into naturopathic medicine his name is drvenugopal, he has a lot of posts on here on ehealth but I know for sure he does have one under the back pain forum! I am not telling you not to take your premarin(i am no dr) maybe he might be right in your situation, as we are all different! I would sure check it out if I were you, keep us updated on what you find out! I still have my pap's.
Sincerely,
sandy
