Ok.... So I am soooooooo confused and really would love some outside input. Four days ago, I took a hpt and it was faintly positive, I had to show it to several friends to be sure I wasn't seeing things. So the next morning I took another hpt, with the same outcome. I was still confused, and decided to go to my doctor he ordered a qualitive blood serum test, and it was negative. I don't get how two hpt can be false positive. I follow the directions to the t. Someone told me that a qualitive blood test, only gives a yes or a no, and if the amount of hcg found is less then a certain amount they have to give you a negative. I don't know hopefully someone out there can help. Smile

Faint Hpt Result
I took a hpt test and it was negative. 5 days later, my friend had me take another one and it was very faint showing positive. We kept looking at the test to make sure we were really seeing it. I am now 26 weeks along in my pregnancy! I would wait another week and try another hpt. I used ept, it's always been good. I have 3 children and one on the way. It is true that they measure the hormone levels, and yours may still be too low for some tests to detect. Alot of doctors now use hpt instead of blood tests, so keep that in mind. I'm no expert, but I certainly wouldn't dismiss it at this point. As a matter of fact, my doctors have always done the urine test for all four of my pregnancies, never a blood test. If you're anxious, try another doctors office.
