Input Needed...help???
Posted: 07-14-04 06:16am

Hello
I am new to this so bare with me...I am a support worker and I work closely to a young adult male whom is diagnosed with autism, besides his usual autistic behaviours he will only eat chips, crisps, fizzy pop, cream crackers, and occasionly raw carrots because his diet is lacking vital vitamins etc..We were advised to start him with forti-juice as a vitamin supplement the problem is that recently he has been unable to tiolet properly, his feaces is extremly runny and often spoiling in his underwear which was not a problem untill now!, Crying
or Very sad I was hoping anyone could give me any alternatives to forti-juice I will be contacting his local g.P.,but any help from you will be an advantage to pass on to them as an option
thanks for taking the time to read this

Is there some reason why a good multi-vitamin or several good specific vitamin supplements weren't given - these could be in liquid form & mixed with something he'd drink or broken up & added to something he eats?? & I have no reason to think that they'd cause such a problem - unless you gave too much or introduced them too suddenly - which may be the cause of the problem you're facing??
