Q: medical help - muscular dystrophy
asked by: brother22 on July 14th, 2004

Hi, I am 22 and have a sister who is diagnosed for muscular dystrophy. She is 31 and is now at the stage where she is completely bed ridden, extremely week and mentally unstable. She is in pakistan right now and medical facilities and health care is very limited there. I want to bring her to usa for better medical treatment. Issues I am confronting right now are identifying a medical center here and arranging a medical visa.

I would be great full if any one can or is willing to help me in this regard.

Sorry I Can't Help
your sister is fortunate to have you as a brother....I have two adult children with MD so they don't have anyone "there" for them except for me....their father decided he could not be bothered with his "handicapped" children and has been gone for about twenty years....and now lives a wonderful life with lots of money...and he does little or nothing for his children.....your sister can be greatful for you...
Good luck and I hope you suceed in getting what she needs.....
