Q: Questions About Doing Baby Laundry

Ok this might make me sound stupid or something, but ok... I got some dreft the other night so I could wash some baby clothes, and I was thinking, what do you do when you dont have a full load of laundry? Do you just wash tiny loads, or wash some of your own clothes with the dreft(its kinda expensive!)? Is it a must to use special detergent like dreft? And can I use dryer sheets? Do they have to be a special kind too? What do you do when you wash baby stuff?

Hey
Ok. When kaitlyn was little say.........5 months and younger we washed her clothes in one load a night or so...... She had a lot of clothes so we could skip a lil time between washings...... And we'd wash only her clothes in her special clothes soap. At about 5 months or so..... It was in with the "big people" clothes and soap. Babies skin is sensitive but we didn't "baby" her skin for too long and she never reacted...... I don't know about dryer sheets.

For kaitlyn we had money to buy special washing soap, but for my lil sis, we couldn't afford it and never used it and she never reacted. In fact, not many of my friends with kids never used any special soap.

Ummm I dont think my sister used dryer sheets but im not sure. And if she didnt have a full load (which was rare) she would let it sit until she did. She used it probably until... I dont know a while lol. I think she still is using it! Lmao. You could probably try dryer sheets but if you see the babys skin reacting to it, then dont use it.

I have to wash them, I wont feel right, just thinking about all them chemicals that could be on the clothes, and then them chemicals going onto my babys skin... I dunno, I guess im picky like that. And also I got alot of clothes from rummage sales and I just would not feel right at all...(they were like new, and for like 25 cents, so hell! I got them! Lol, instead of one outfit for $5, I got 20!)....Lol I will probably end up having full loads anyways so I dont know why im worrying so much... If I dont, I guess small loads are just fine... It just feels like a waste though...

Number one, don't use dryer sheets...
And number two dreft is great to use.. There is another brand called tide free and clear or something those are okay to use... Just do smaller loads if you don't have alot to wash, set your dryer to small load and just use a little bit of soap.

Lol I cant wait to wash little tiny clothes either. Ive been waiting so long to be able to wash it, and kevin finally got me some dreft, but now we dont got much money, so I gotta wait even longer now Crying or Very sad I wish we had our own washer and dryer! Coin-ops suck! But yea I was looking at the washers and dryers here at the new place, and they have the tinyest washer I have ever seen! Its like a 1/3 of a load washer lol... But now its all good. I got everything cleared in my head and im not a confused blonde no more Laughing
