I am going to undergo radiation treatment for my graves disease and often wonder the same thing about conceiving children. I have been told that there should be no problems but I wanted to talk to somebody with some experience...

I had rai at age 19, and I am now 27. I was told that the rai should have little or no effect on my fertility, however, I hve not yet tried to start a family, so I do not know if what they told me is true (:

Hi! I am 28 years old and just found out that I was pregnant with my second child. I had radioactive iodine to treat my graves disease in nov of 03...So to all worried about conceiving after rai treatment..No worries! It only took my husband and I ..4 months! :)

Hi..Can any1 help or advise PLEASE..Ive just found out im 6 weeks pregnant but my husband had radio iodine treatment 4 months ago and yet as careful as we were he was told he cant father a child for a year after the treatment..We are very worried about what 2 do..Would really appreciate feedback..Thanks..
