Sad I am 1 mth pregnant and I am feeling very breathless and I can feel my heart pumping very fast. Are these symptoms related to pregnancy? Is it normal? And is there any way to curb the nauseousness?

Im feeling breathless for the pass 2wks. I woke up suddenlly finding myself so breathless.

what you may be experiencing: many women feel breathless during pregnancy- and that's not only from the excitement of creating a new life. In the first trimester, increased levels of progesterone may make breathing a bit difficult at times as your body adjusts to new hormonal levels. In the third trimester, your lungs and diaphragm suffer a space crunch as your uterus expands upward, making it harder to take a deep breath. This case happened to women on their 3rd trimester of expecting(if im not wrong). But mine is only 4wks old.

But i'm not really excited abt it. Right now, i'm feeling really breathless even thou i'm not thinking of anything. I'm really worried abt it. Cos even when i'm not pregnant, I feel my heart pumping fast and breathless at times. Which I dun find it normal. I used to have asthma when im very young. But it did not attack for a decade. I heard that it is dangerous for woman who has weak heart to concieve and some may not even be able to concieve due to that.

Is my breathless symptoms normal?? Or is me myself that is weak?? Or is it both that causes me to be breathless etc?? *sigh* wil be seeing a gynae tmrw..

Totally normal. I feel the same way- i'm 16 weeks pregnant. You're pumping about 50% more blood now. You've got two people to breathe for! Don't worry Smile
