cotton augustus
bartholomew francis (will people
immediately shorten it to bart? If he had
to have a nn, I personally would prefer
barty or barth.)
cornelius henry (again, is a nickname
necessary? How about neely?)
Not that I don't necessarily like them,
they would just need to get some taking
used to for me.
Ultimately its your choice however.

As far as cotton augustus, anything seen
as soft and airy as "cotton" has
potentially demasculinizing qualities.
Imagine it ... A six foot tall man in a
suit comes up to you, clean cut and
athletic, and says hi, i'm cotton, i'm
going to be your attorney.
It's creative, but would work better for a
girl.
I personally wouldn't immediately shorten
bartholomew to bart, since it's a slightly
unusual name and people probably aren't as
familiar with the preferred nicknames
(katie from katherine, etc.), but he could
easily introduce himself as bart or barth
without any problem.
Cornelius henry wouldn't really need a
nickname, although you could get away with
neil. Take note, it does sound a bit
old-fashioned, but if you're looking for a
classic name it's not a bad idea. Beware
the nickname corny.
Octavia rosemarie, cordelia blanche, and
flora anneliese (or flora bernadette) are
all lovely names, although blanche does
come off as a tad ... Bland.
Just my opinions! Good luck!

I like the names for the girls, however I
the boys names did not do anything for me.
Good luck with your final choice!
when I think of the name cotton, I think
of the 90's horror flick, scream. Remeber
the really tall, scary guy that the main
character accused of killing her mother?
I don't think cotton is a very good name.
Augustus, willy wonka & the chocolate
factory. The large, blonde kid who got
sucked into the choco tube. Bartholomew
francis, I like this one. Sounds very
classic and richy-rich like.
Cornelius...Fairy
prince...Thumbilina...Nuff said. Henry
sounds too grandpa-ish.
I really like the names octavia, blanche,
and flora. Rosemarie, cordelia,
annaliese, and bernadette all sound too
old woman/grandma-ish. Hopefully my
opinions weren't too harsh, you said to be
honest! I hope I helped!

Hey,
i would refrain from cotton, because it
sounds like an old african american man
sitting in a field or something. But
augustus is beautiful, so maybe augustus
cotton! That way, your son would be able
to choose whether or not he disclose the
middle name, or he could use his middle as
the primary if he wanted =0) also, be
prepared for bartholomew to be called
"bart" and cornelius "corny".
The girls are adorable though =0) I like
the cute old fashioned names. The only
one I didn't care for was flora. Its
just a little...Too old fashioned. Here
are some other cute old fashions that I
found, they were popular in the 30's =0)
