Hi I was just curious can you have a home pregnancy test or blood test while your on the contraceptive pill or would the results come out negative or wrong.

Just make sure you tell your healthcare provider you are on the pill,but it shouldn't matter-pregnant is pregnant.The tests detect levels of the pregnancy hormones and false positives are rare ,even with the home kits.To be certain,see your healthcare provider to get a urine and blood test.Good luck!!Patty

I suppose a test could come up as a false positive, coz the pill increases the amount of hormones your body produces,. So it tricks ur body into thinking your pregnant, so while ur taking the pill u can have unprotected sex, and it's unlikely you'll become pregnant, as your body already thinks you are .
