My husband was diagnosed with hep c 4 years ago. This past week he was diagnosed with liver cancer. The doctor wants to transplant liver. My question..... How can a transplant help if he still has hep c, I am very confused about this. The doctor did not seem to want him on the peg interferon because he has had two stents in the past and doc felt this would be hard on him. Will it not still be hard on him after the transplant or what. If some one could help me with all this confusion I would be grateful. Linda
