Hi,
i'm a 21 year old who has lupus maybe? The docs said I had it after giving birth to my child, I had a c-section and then a blood clot after the surgury. I've been to I dont know how many different docs, and they seem like they dont know anything about lupus or they dont want to help, right now i'm seeing a doc who specializes in it, but the place I go is so ghetto, I waited last time to see him for 3 hours and then he couldnt tell me what was wrong so I got tests done, I just want to clearup what is wrong with me and get on meds if I have tooo.
My leg hurts so bad sometimes I just want to cut it off. I dont know what i'm asking for here but I feel like screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Hard
Hi starlyn, looks i'm the first to welcome you to this forum. Although, sometimes I feel like somewhat of a hypocrite because I have not been diagnosed with lupus. I thought I had it, but the main tests they do for it came back negative. I've had some health issues for two years now. And I still don't have a definite diagnosis.

That's the way it is with a lot of these diseases. Even though you had to wait for your doctor. At least he seems to be doing what he can to figure things out for you. So, all I can say is hang in there. Did you tell him about the pain? Did he prescribe you anything for it? Call him and ask him if there's something he can give you.

I know it must be hard, especially when you have a baby to take care of and you're not feeling your best. But you can come in here and vent anytime. In the meantime, just be patient. Hopefully they'll find out what's wrong soon.

Take care,
tallwoman

Starlynn:

welcome to the group! I am ladybrannon! I am sorry to hear that you have had such a rough time.

Can you tell us what tests they ran? Ana? Ds dna? Esr? C4? C3? C reactive protein? The others?

I know they said it was *not* lupus, but did they offer any other help?

Hugs,
ladybrannon

I'm really sorry that you feel so tired and upset. Have you told the doctor that you feel like he's not explaining things well enough? Sometimes that can help!

Hugs,

Release of Information
Just a reminder to everyone that they should periodically get their records from their doctors...It's particularly helpful if you need a second opinion, which I suggest starlynn go look for if possible. And go with your records from this doctor.

Don't forget also that the doctors **cannot charge you** for the records anymore. I forget who you can go to to complain if they do but charging is not part of the plan.

I Didnt Know
Hey thanks for the tips, I had no ideal that docs couldnt charge you. Theres this one place where they told me I first had it, and every new doc. I go too needs these records right, well this place wont give them to me.
Can I go there and get them by hand or do they have to send them somewhere.
I actually feel like I might be getting somewhere with this doc. He ran some test again and I have rheumatorid arthritis and he said my lupus came back neg. But that doesnt mean anything he said.
At least i'm at a doctor that knows what hes doing, I hope.
