hi everyone:
i am new here but was wondering if anyone has similiar situation to me. I will try to make it short, I came down with anxiety disorder and panic attacks about two years ago, I was put on medication which has helped alot. No more panic attacks but still having the anxiety a little. I am pregnant, 35 weeks and Dr. Said to stay on the meds throughout pregnancy. Thank goodness baby is fine, and I am into the home stretch. Lately though, I am having more anxiety and some pretty negative thoughts. I do therapy once a week, and I know its all because I am so driven and so hard on myself. I am afraid of the delivery (this is my second child and the first delivery was really tough) and also very worried about post partdom depression. Anyone have similiar story to tell or any words of advice. Thanks :

I hear you. I think I responded to you in another forum as well. I am due at the end of aug. And feel very stressed and freaked out. I feel like my life is not my own. I feel out of control. My bf is in charge of all finances etc, since I can't work now and I am scared that he will call the shots for the rest of my life.
Very scared about actually having a tiny infant also, it's my first. I don't know how I will be, i'm hoping to be miraculously transformed into super mother.
Ha!

Hey gals,

don't worry. Pregnancy and childbirth are a natural process of a woman's life. You will be fine. Delivery can be tough, I have three children and am currently 26 weeks pregnant. All you can do is your best. There will always be super moms out there that seem to be better than you, but god gave this child to you. You do what you can and make the best of it. As for depression, I was very mentally disturbed when I was younger. Manic depression runs in my family (my mother and sister). I refused medication. When I was pregnant with my third child, I knew I could no longer do it on my own. I was tired and had no strength left. I turned to god, and my whole life changed. He pulled me out of my depression and held my hand every step of the way, and he'll do the same for you. What you need is christ and his mercy. You need his help. He will help you, just ask him.

Anxiety And Pregnancy
This is to myryboy---i also have anxiety and am now 16 weeks pregnant. I wish I was at the end of the pregnancy like you!! What meds are you on? A antidepressant? This is my 2nd ppregnancy and with my first I took no meds but suffered through panic attacks every time I went for my ob visit. Now I find that I need meds to get me through this pregnancy. My first ob visit is next weds. And I am so nervous over this....I don't know what to do except keep my chin up and try to go. Any suggestions??? I am at my wits end.. Good luck to you and the others... Brenna
