Q: Really Sharp Pain In Wrist When Leaning Over With Hand Down

When I go to pick something off the floor with my dominant hand, I always get a really sharp, extremely painful shooting pain in the large muscle on the outer part of my thumb. Not near the palm but more along the side from the actual bone that connects to the wrist, all the way to the first joint.
I doubt its carpal tunnel, but this is the only forum i've found that I could ask a questiont like this. Its really becomming a problem, and it hurts like hell.
I hope someone can help me figure out what it is.
