I am experiencing a yellowish discharge
now after over 3 weeks since my complete
hysterectomy. Does anyone else have any
solutions?

Hi,
About your discharge, I had my complete
hysterectomy on the 1st of July and I
still have this discharge, I went to my Dr
about this, he said this may go on for a
couple of months... Don't be alarmed, he
said it is the healing process...
Good luck to you!!!

I am going to have a hysterectomy in
summer. I would like to hear from someone
who has had this procedure. What to expect
after having a hysterectomy? How long does
it take to recover? I am just worried
because I am doing my studies and I don't
want this to be a disadvantage in my life.
so could anyone who had an experience of
this tell me what to look forward to.

having my hysterectomy in 15 days Posted: 03-05-08 15:11pm
I'm having a total hysterectomy march 20.
everything out, ovaries, tubes, uterus,
cervix. Is this like yours? I'm going to
be housebound for awhile afterwards and
would gladly share my experiences if they
might help you since yours will be shortly
afterwards. I'm in canada, not sure if
it's different here than in other
countries. Mine is due to severe
endometriosis and lots of bleeding and
pain. I'm 38 and have had two kids
already. On trelstar for the last month
and half to get me ready for the surgery.
Been having a preview of what menopause
will be like. Hotflashes big time!! turns
out if i drink any wine before bed, i'm in
for a very HOT night. I'm nervous and
anxious myself too, but i'm looking
forward to having no period, no pain.
Thinking i might have a burning ceremony,
couple tampons and pads, to say chow,
won't miss you!!

I had a full hysterectomy with tubes and
ovaries removed 9 weeks ago. I had these
concerns as well (discharge, and
spotting). It cleared up eventually. My
experience was pretty normal. I had to
remember lots of rest and proper diet.
Everyone is different though. Good luck to
those having surgery.
