Hi i'm new here

my thyroid has gone wrong. Sad

the nhs in uk moves slowly. I got ill in february and have still not had a definitive diagnoses.

Why am I in this forum? I've been directed here.

Only test results i've been given:

feb
tsh 15
dsdna binding autoantibody 16.71 u/ml (0 - 20)

may
tsh 42.21
dsdna binding autoantibody 29.9

i know what tsh bit is no thanks to medical profession but does the other bit mean anything to anyone in here?

Seeking answers for sanities sake. Rolling Eyes

Thyroid
Hi, i'm new here also. My husband was diagnosed with low-acting thyroid a few months ago. I don't know exactly what his tsh is right now, he's goes back this next week to get the blood test done again, as they will do each and every month until they get his medication regulated correctly. But I do know this: he stayed very tired every day. He would go to sleep just sitting in a chair he was so tired. The doc put him on levoxyl, a very low dose to begin with. And I believe the medicine has had a very ill-effect on our love life also. I just posted a question today to see if anyone else has this problem. I'm not much help to your actual question, but just to let you know, you're not alone with this problem.
Sincerely
alice

Extremely eHealthy
I am not the best at explaining what blood tests are for but I can maybe lead you in the right direction, I get some information from msn.Search if you type in dsdna binding auto antibody.Com this might help you know what you are looking for. Hope this has been some help to you! Maybe someone else can help too! Yes, I agree, the medical society sucks here too, it's like, hurry up & wait! A lot of people here use herbs, naturopathy meds, there is a gentleman that is on this forum that might be able to help you if you pm him, I will look up his name and get back with you later.
Sincerely,
sandy

i have a friend in the uk who has lupus (londoner). I will ask her if she would be willing to give out her email.

She is starting up a support group, I cannot remember the name or acronym at the moment.

If she is willing I will send you pm with her email.
