Q: Tender Spot Lower Left Abdomen/pelvic Region

I am appx 18 weeks pregnant and suffering tenderness/pain to the touch in my lower left abdomen/pelvic area. It has been this way for at least one month. At last doc visit at 15 wks, he said it was normal to have tenderness when he pressed down because of the growing round ligament. I think it is not normal, however, because it has not gone away and seems to be even more sore today. I am scheduled for an ultrasound in 2 weeks and wonder if I should go in earlier due to this problem, or if I am just being paranoid.
Any suggestions on what it may be, anyone?
Thanks.

Pain
Well girlfriend, I believe your doc is right. I also have the same problem.
Therapy really helps for this sort of ligament pain. Good luck!

Lower Left Abdominal Pain
Thanks for your replies. My question is, if it was another baby in my tube, why would it have not shown up on my ultrasounds I had at 4 and 6 weeks pregnant? I am growing rapidly so I know I should feel stretcy and pains due to round ligament, but this has been consistently tender for over 5 weeks. The nurse says it is normal, too. I am visiting the doctor in 6 days for ultrasound and I will tell the tech to check it out.

Not My Appendix
I know it is not my appendix because that is on my right side and the tenderness is on the left lower side.

Liyah-please let me know what the doc says at your appt. My friend thought it might be my colon but I have had no other symptoms what so ever besides two weekends ago I had two small spots of blood which the nurse said was normal. I am wondering if my nurses are crazy!
