Ok .. I am a ditz. I got my period on june 24th- the day before I was set to go on vacation. So I read online (stupid me for not asking my doc) that if you skip your last week of pills (you know, the placebos) you can skip your period-- errr, me not thinking, "well it is already here 1 day so i'm out of luck" --i did it. I started a new pack (after only taking 3 of the placebos) and it made my period oh so light (but still there.. Which is fine.)

now, 11 days later, it's still happening! But not the normal consistency- just a little here & there.... I called my doc today (and after a lecture) & he said that this is normal until my body gets back on track... And there is no set amount of time.

Has this happened to anyone else?? How long did it last? Am I a complete person?

You either have to skip your period completely (start one pack right after another) or have your period. You don't have to take the placebos at all, but don't start your new pack unless it is time.
If you skip your period you have to let yourself have a period every third month. Your doctor should have told you that.
It may take your body a full month to stop spotting. Just be careful next time. We all make mistakes, just learn from them and it is fine!Lol.
