i started taking rebif 3 months ago. I am wondering whether taking rebif could affect my fertility, since my husband and I are trying to conceive (for our first child) for the past year, without success yet Sad . For those 3 months , I am wondering wether my cycle isn't somehow different than before ??

Did anyone noticed something different since starting interferon therapy ??

Nb: I consulted with my neurologist about taking rebif and not using birth control

thanks for answering

Rebif (interferon-beta-1a) is an immunomodulating drug used for treating multiple sclerosis. It belongs to the pregnancy category C which means that its bad impact on the fetus is proven in animals but there are no data about the influence on people. This means that it shouldn't be used during pregnancy and need to be stopped before trying to get pregnant.
If you can't conceive after one year trying you may have sterility problem and need to consult some gynecologist.
