I've been getting uti's for about 15 years- when I was younger I might get 2 in a year, now it's about 1 a year.
I've been on cipro for 7 days for the latest one (last night was my last dose) and I think I still have it. I still have to urinate more frequently than "normal"- but I can't tell if i'm just being hypersensitive. Is it possible that I need a differnt anitbiotic- or does this mean there's something seriously wrong with me???
I "overdosed" on cranberry juice & pills on and off (more on) since I started to show symptoms. My husband thinks that's why I have to urinate more often and why it burns a little afterward.
I'm grateful for any advice- i'm very scared & confused.

You Sound Like Me
No your not crazy. I got uti's for over 7 months stright my doctors still dont know whats wrong with me. Most of the pills they put me on never worked or if they did they only worked while I was on them as soon as I got off uti's came right back. I had to go on a 6 month supply of bactrim to maintain my uti...I dont know if this helped at all but atleast you know you not crazy and your not alone. Just look at the good point i'v been getting them since I was born and hospitalized twice for it traveling to my kidneys and I still have problems and just turned 17. good luck and hope you have better luck then me.
