I am new to this forum and have some questions about my husband. He has been well controlled for about 2 years on trileptal for absence seizures. Hasn't had a seizure in 17 months. He does have weight issues due to his meds and has recently been having some high blood pressure which his gp is monitoring.

Yesterday after mowing the grass and getting very hot he bent down to move some bricks and the next thing I knew he was on the ground. He just sorta set back hard and fell against the neighbors fence. Scared the heck out of me cause I have never seen him fall during a seizure so wasn't sure if he was having a stroke or what (he's 50 btw) he acted a little dazed and laughed kind of silly which was my clue that he had had a seizure.

My question is could his blood pressure have shot up when he bent over and caused the seizure? And does it sound like he needs to get on some bp meds? Does to me. Just wondering if he should be more careful about high bp because of the epilepsy?

Scary stuff, thanks for any advice.
