My boyfriend just recently told me that when he's going to have an ejaculation he holds it in(sometimes, not always) is this normal for guys to do this? Will it cause any health problems? Please help, I don't want him to get health problems from this.

If he is "holding it" to prolong, there is nothing wrong with that. It isn't going to cause any kind of damage.
Does he do it for you, or does he just have some kind of weird phobia? Does he then eventually "finish"? I am confused.

He's doing this so he won't ejaculate, so it won't come out. I guess he doesn't want a mess. If it does cause problems over a period of time then he should stop.

Well, if he doesn't want a "mess" then he should just wear a condom. Pretty simple. What is the point of having sex if he isn't even going to get off?
