I am 40 years old and usually have very regular periods. This time after finishing one I had another start after 8 days. It lasted 3 days and was heavier than normal. I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding this, or should I just make an appointment.

You should make an appoinment thats not normal. For heavily bleeding my co-worker had to get back on the pill to regulate her periods and shes like 45 so you might have to do the same plus she had to take iron, vitamin c and zinc pills. Good luck.
