Hey everyone Im a male who suffers from the same problem, and believe it or not its a simple fix, at least in my case anyway. My problem has always been nausea in the mornings till about noon and maybe with slight dizzness. If your like me you might have trouble sleeping, falling asleep, or even disruptive sleep, and whatever your reason for these sleeping ploblems are, the sleeping issues you have are the real culprit. So, long story short, take a sleeping aid. I take Equate Night Time Sleep Aid with "Sleep Aid" in big bold letters and all it is is Diphenhydramine 25 mg for 2 to 4 dollars at walmart. just follow the directions on the box and go to bed a little early so you wake up naturally in the morning, and i take a little extra but not to much or it'll make the problem worse.

If you'd like to talk to me in more detail you can get write me.

hope it helps

Well, I'm only 14 and I feel this morning sickness every morning. I've been going through it since before I can remember. I really hate it. In the mornings when I wake for school I feel it, I get really sick and brushing my teeth makes it worse and I have to just stand there for about 20 minutes. then from the stomach gas I think I have to use the bathroom but I don't. The naseu gets really annoying and makes me feel like I'm dieing. I want to go to a doctor but I'm not sure if i should!!.. Any pointers?

mornig nausea x anxiety
Hi everyone,
Im a 25 years old male and I also had this problem for several years. I have seen the doctor many times but with no positive results. Last year I have been trough a very serious psychological breakdown (panic disorder) and started taking an anti-depressive medicin that helped me a lot. I also have morning nausea when waking up too early.
This morning nausea was associeted to stress and anxiety. Now I´m quite better with the 'lowest stress levels'. I´m fit, swim twice a week and work out at the gym four times a week.
So I believe if you look for a doctor telling him you suffer of anxiety, it might be helpful.

im 21 years old and have been suffering from mild to severe nuasia for the last 4 years. Nearly every morning i awake to a general feeling of nausia. Even if im still tired and would like nothing more then to fall back asleep,i know that its impossible. AS many others have noted, i to experience feelings which inhibit my ability to eat breakfast and function normally in the morning. Although the outcome doesn't result in vomiting, the symptoms themselves are troublesome enough. I Tend to eat an hour and a half before i go to sleep. And my diet is relatively balanced. Though lately i have been slacking on the exercise, which could be a contributing factor. Though i have found a solution of sorts, which may interest some of you. I found that smoking half of a fairly small marijuana cigarette several minutes after i awake with symptoms, completely absolves all feelings of nausia for the remainder of the day. Some people may condemn this solution, though i assure you that for my symptoms at least this is the only method of treatment which has yielded positive results.

I am a 25 year old male and have had the symptoms for the past 6 - 8 months. It used to be an upset stomach/nausia feeling only some mornings, then it turned into every morning. The frustrating thing is that I'm a big breakfast eater and I can hardly eat a bowl of cereal now. I have to wait at least a couple hours for things to settle down. I think mine may be related to stress/anxiety as well as acid reflux since it tends to be worse on the mornings that I have an important day at work or something. I tried drinking tea which sometimes helped a little bit. I did end up going to the doctor and he perscribed me Omeprazole. I have been taking it for a couple weeks (usually before bed) and I wake up feeling a lot better. Still not 100%, but it is a great improvement from what I had before. I would recommend trying this if you havent already...its the only solution that has worked for me so far (even though its not perfect). I do plan on going back to the doctor in another month to see if there is something to take for stress/anxiety with the omeprazole that can completly rid me of this annoying feeling every morning.

Hi guys I'm 15 I suffred this from age 7 to 12 5 years intill I found out it was gastrol reflux syndrom google is you friend so I checked it out and found some home remidies that worked for me but you need to follow them all your life, elevate your bed where you head is because everything back's up you're esaphuas during nite so you feel like you're gonna vomit somtimes you will drink alot of fluids before and after eating expecially after eating food you need somthing to was it down try getting to be at an early time so you're internal clock can compansate for the time it will take to digest the food while you're sleeping drik gatorade/powerade in the morning, it's easy on you're stomach and has electrolytes to keep you hydrated, eat jello again easy on you're stomac try eating at 5 pm and getting to be at 10-12pm and try to get at least 10 hr's sleep in. another important thing is do not and i will repeat do not eat food or a snack before you goto bed and for the life of you cut down on certian spiciy foods and stay away from chilli. also glutin free foods is hard on the stomach when you have this gastrol reflux syndrom/dieseas if this does not help try some anti-depressents make sure you elavate you're head in bed by raising the matress up by sticking some box or somthing between the matress and the box spring as pilliows will not work.
if none of this works go see a doctor, another key tip take some vitamin a,c and some zinc also that helped me

Hey guys, I have the same problem. Im a 19 year old male, and I've had problems with this as long as I remember. I'm 6' and 158lbs and I have a very slim build. I try to eat as much and as often as I can (trying to gain weight) with healthy foods. Recently I have been weight lifting along with taking a multivitamin and creatine. However, I've had this same problem long before I started exersizing. I also take adderall for ADD, celexa for depression, and advair/albuterol for asthma. I've been on these drugs for a fairly long time.

It only seems to happen when I wake up at a reasonably early time. I also have a very difficult time waking up in the morning. Usually I wake up confused or I just somehow unconciously walk across the room, and turn off my alarm then go back to bed.

When I DO make it up though, I shower, and about an hour later when I'm making my breakfast I start feeling very nauseous. Usually I get some moderate diarrhea. I also drink a cup of caffienated black tea every morning, or coffee. This tends to make the sickness worse but I need it to wake myself up.

Its refreshing to see that I'm not the only one who has this problem (that isn't a pregnant woman)! But I'd love a solution!

Male Morning Sickness
I am so glad that I am not the only one going through this!! I have been suffering chronic nausea since I can remember! It is worst in the morning and usually subsides. i think the anxiety of being nauseated has made me paranoid to the point that everything I eat makes me feel sick. I don't throw up much thank the dear Lord! I just get VERY nauseated! I am not stressed, I eat well, I am a tad underweight. No health problems really. The doctor put me on prilosec and that has not helped. he gave me phenergan for the nausea and that has worked wonders but it makes me really drowsy so I can't take it everyday. Also, I feel liek my stomach is "nervous". My brain, mind, body is not nervous but my stomach feels very nervous. I have an appointment with a GI specialist next month and I'm hoping that he can find something that he can solve. I have been tested for H. Ployri and all kinds of other things but everythibng comes back normal. If anyone has a better solution please let me know!

Hey everyone, I'm yet another guy with the same type of problem. It's comforting to read this and see that there are many others that share the same problem and frustration that there is no simple cure. I have some tips and maybe even a minor solution for some of you, so if you don't care about my story you can just skip this next bit. I'm 18, and I haven't had this forever, but the last few years I seem to randomly get waves of morning sickness, so bad that I have to stay home until 1 or 2 in the afternoon when I just magically get better. I rarely actually throw up, but the sight/smell/thought of food makes me feel like I will. I also don't feel like this immediately after I wake up...usually it comes after being awake for about 10-15 minutes. And then once I'm better, I can eat whatever I want and not feel sick. Yesterday, I woke up very sick, but never threw up. I ate 4 saltine crackers for lunch, and couldn't manage to get anything else down. Later that night when I felt better, I had steak for dinner, an ice cream sandwich for desert, and no problems. Today I feel sick, but I have a minor solution and a few tips:

Solutions/Tips? Maybe these will work for you, maybe not. But they're worth a try.

1 - Like many people said, it could be hypoglycemia: low blood sugar. If you've had migraines in the past, if you get light headed a lot, if you've ever passed out, this could be your problem. In the morning, before you get sick, try to have something with sugar: gatorade (I recommend G2), hard candy, Airborne Power pixies (check these out, they're like vitamin pixie sticks...they're kind of kiddy but they work really well), anything like that. You don't have to have the whole thing, just a little bit should be enough. This doesn't help me immediately, but if I have a little, normally the nausea wears off after a little while. Don't have soda or anything carbonated, the carbonation just makes things worse.

2 - I seem to have these problems more frequently in the summer than in the school year (though some of you this doesn't really apply because you're out of school). It sounds cliche, but it's important to try and get into a consistent eating/sleeping schedule. Three meals a day really helps if you can pull it off, though I know how hard this can be. I haven't had breakfast in months because of my nausea.

3 - Lots of you probably do this already, but carry around some type of antacid wherever you go. I keep a bottle of Pepcid Complete in the trunk of my car, and I also try to make sure I always have Rolaids or Tums or some similar over the counter medication at my house at all times. It doesn't always help, but when it gets REALLY bad I find these medications help.

4 - Talk to your family about medical history. If you notice any trends, that can help lead you to what your problem is. In my case, my mom has a history of low blood sugar, and my brother used to suffer from frequent migraines and nausea as a result of the migraines. My mom also told me that when I was a baby, I would have extreme temper tantrums whenever I went a long time without eating. Before this problem ever started, I had episodes where I would either faint or almost pass out as a result of not eating breakfast on several occasions. Whether hypoglycemia is your problem or not, it's beneficial to see if you can find any common traits among medical problems, because that can point you in the right direction.

I hope the best for all of you guys, cause I know just how bad it sucks waking up feeling sick on a daily basis. If this post helps even one other person with this problem, I'd be overjoyed.

morning nausea
i am also struggling with this, found out i had Lyme's and after my naturopath helped me get on top of that, i was doinng much better for a couple of years until recently.
the Lyme's has a biotoxin similiar to botulism that makes one sick. it is very difficult for the md's to diagnose because of the way it dodges the immune system. the antibodies are not produced as they would be in most other illnesses so their antobody tests usually miss it.. Lyme's can be mis diagnosed as 300 different illnesses. so now i am back to sick in the morning, water or tea even makes me nauseous until aboue 10 AM. THE Naturopaths had me doing digestive enzymes and they have many approaches that help thaT YOU CAN NOT always get from a md because it is not approached that way in the medical field. am going to my ND asap because I know she will get me back on track to where I will be comfortable and digesting properly with not dangerous pharmaceutical drugs and their dangerous side effects that most times are worse that the original illness. These digestive problems are not good not only because of how awful one feels, but also because you are not absorbing the nutrients from your food.
also avoid sad(standard american diet) pre packaged foods because the chemicals in them wreak havoc on our delicate systems. Make homemade vegetable soups and eat during the week, easy to digest, gentle and full of healing minerals. no microwaves of course as that destroys the nutrients in the food. also I was on aloe vera juice, 1 Tablespoon or 1 ounce before and after each meal and right brfore bed soothes irritated tissues in the digestive system and bowels. you will notice a difference with just that. Coffee is a huge no of course. Want helP? find yourself a naturopath!

Not sure if you are still looking at the posts......
I can relate to what the majority of you are experiencing, and have gone thru alot of the same tests, with results showing "everything looks fine"
Where mine is different is that I have developed red, burning skin (not a rash)
Anybody have this issue also ?

Hey boys!
my boyfriend had the same thing but not really in the morning... ok in the morning but really at night too..(morning was worse) he would make himself sick it got so bad. Finally i forced him to the doctor who suprisingly said you have acid reflux... Take these pills once a day and youll be fine... and jsut like that he was!!!!!
it was very simple
Now acid reflux is VERY common expeshally in men.. i would say consider the following. do you get heartburn? indigestion after eating (and i mean Really ANY FOOD the only thing he was safe with was tums!) it can be worse when lieing down. comes in spurts.
if so id do some more research and ask the Doc.
Acid refulx ca cause alot of weird things to happen to the body so really at least look it up..
hope this helps

Chronic Nausea, Weird Bowel Movements, Weight Loss
Hey everybody, I am a 20 year old male and I suffer from daily nausea as well. My 19 year old brother has the same problem.

This problem first started when I was 13 in Junior High, although it was a mild version of what I have now and it lasted about 10 months. I would get a very upset stomach in the morning and sometimes gag from it, although I never threw up. At the time I was on Claritan D for my allergies and I had a lot of drainage from my nasal cavity going into my stomach. I ceased taking it and the problem vanished soon after.

Seven years later one day I wake up feeling sick. I am in college now and have been suffering from extreme nausea to the point of puking, strange bowel movements, and weight loss. This lapse has lasted about 6 months now and I have lost 50 lbs. I am 5'11" 205 lbs currently, last March I was 250ish. A weight loss of 20-25 lbs. isn't too uncommon for me. Each year throughout high school I would fluctuate from 225ish to 205 after baseball season.

My 19 year old brother suffers from the same exact symptoms. My 22 year old sister has been diagnosed with Dysautonomia or Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome which is a nervous system disorder. This disorder tends to run in the family but I do not show many of her symptoms and neither does my brother.

My father has nasal drip problems as well as acid reflux. I have tried some of his meds to see if they work and they do seem to help take away the acid problem and keep me from throwing up but I still feel sick and have strange bowel movements.

Ulcers are common in my family as well.

I started smoking pot on a daily basis about 2 months before this lapse started. I smoked on and off for a year or two before it started. I now smoke everyday to keep the nausea away.

My nausea and bowel movements are more severe in the morning but do persist throughout the day. In the beginning it seemed like it was only in the morning but after a couple months it started carrying out through the day, just not as strong.

I have already been to urgent care to figure out what is wrong with me. They gave me a 12 hour anti-nausea shot, 2 weeks of anti-nausea medication and charged me $185(nice being uninsured). I cannot afford to go to the doctor again until I get insurance.

There are many reasons why this may be happening to me, hopefully it is something simple that I will figure out soon. Sorry to everyone who is suffering from this kind of disorder, throwing up almost everyday for the past 6 months has been hell on me; can't imagine what it's like after years.. I'll get back to this forum if I figure out what is wrong with me. Good luck everyone.

vomiting and marijuana
Hey guys,
I have been having the same problem for years now. I have recently figured out what the problem was. I am 25 male and I wake up every morning with a severe stomach ache and alot of the time I throw up. Its never any substance like food but just clear bile. It will come and go for weeks or a week and then be gone for a couple of weeks then come back. I recently look up this disorder called Cannabinoid Hyperemesis. I am a regular marijuana smoker and have been for the past 10 years. Everything listed in the info about this disorder describes everything I have had to the T. I would encourage anyone who has this problem and smokes pot to check it out and see if it fits your description. It is curable all e have to do is quit smoking and let our body return to normal.
I hope I as of help to some of you.

Morning Naesea
Hi All,

I think it is dehydration.

Before you go to bed pour a half pint or pint of water and leave overnight so that in the moring the water temp is ambient/room temp.

Then drink the water as soon as you are up and certainly within 5 minutes of waking.

Then within half an hour eat your breakfast. You must always have a breakfast but as this may be difficult at first just have a small breakfast like a slice of toast or a pancake or a scone or a bowl of porridge or cereal. Then after a few weeks once your system has adjusted then you should be able to have more for breakfast.

The name for Breakfast originates from: breaking the fast that your system has just endured during the night while you were asleep.

Therfore this is why you must break the fast by having breakfast.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi All --

I've found myself to have pretty much the same symptoms described here. I'm also a chronic cannabis user with a history of use since being a teenager. I think the best solution I've found IMO for this problem is to wake up, then do something else as soon as the symptoms are appearing early in the morning. I also observed that going out taking fresh air helps in case of nausea or headaches. In my case headaches would not stop until I raise up from bed and would become worses if I persist
in layed down position.

I also suspect this has to do with the quality of the sleep. In example, a poor sleep might induces more symptoms but given the right conditions (temperature, humidity, etc) things seems to calm down.
