Hey!
I think it is classed as a period cos u can get pregnant again almost on the same day u give birth!!! (i may b over-reacting slightly!)
apparently, a woman is particularly fertile soon after she gives birth however, due to obvious reasons, u may not be up 4 any of the antics!
Good luck and I hope this helps
p.S. U r so sweet the way u talk about ur baby, you'll be a fab mom i'm sure :d

Actually the bleeding after you have the baby is just from the uterus contracting back to its normal size...Youll know when you start your period again.

Just Some Info
This is not classified as your period. This is just your body bleeding as a result of giving birth. The reason you are so fertile after having a child is because of the fact that your uterus is still open. Another reason why they don't want you to have sex before six weeks. If your uterus is open, then it allows for easier access for semen or infection to reach your uterus. The semen won't have to go through trying to find it's way in when there is direct access to the uterus. As I am sure your doc will tell you, your period should resume in about six to twelve weeks after giving birth.
