Ibuprofen And Gastritis Posted: 07-01-04 07:56am
I have many post on the back pain forum
regarding rerctal pressure, after doing
research on my problem( I haveherniated
disk w nerve damage) ive gone through many
test including a colonoscopy, everything
leads to my back injury, my question is, I
have taken aleeve and ibuprofen for almost
3 years and now im wondering if its not my
back thats causing my problems, but maybe
gastritis, because taking to much
antiinflamatories will cause stomach
problems, when ever I have the pressure I
have alot of air in side of my stomach
that constantly moves but wont come out,
but when I finally am able to relieve the
gas I feel as though the pressure im
experiencing disipates, im also very
bloated kind of constipated, even though I
go when im finished I still feel as though
I could go more, can you have gastritis
for 3 years my problems come and go and
ive been noticeing(sp) I have my pressure
when im laoded with gas, I feel like
pulling my hair out, its getting so
depressing trying to figure out what the
heck is wrong doctors just dont give me
the answers im looking for, since I
discovered the long term effects od the
anti inflam I stopped taking them I
started taking acidopholous again and flax
seed oil and I ve taken gas x I actually
had a good day, my big question is can
gas cause so many problems if any one has
any similar with trapped gas or
gastritis, I know having a back injury
like mine can cause problems like this to
because the injury to the nerves are at
the base of your rectum and bladder, any
input would be greatly appreciated,

Bootsie it sound like we have been
experincing some very simular problums. I
have just gone through a gastric bypass
surgery and have been experincing gas, at
first it would last for aproximentley 6-7
hrs and was very uncomfterable but in the
past three weeks it has only been coming
on after I eat and lasting for 2-3 hrs. I
have relayed this to my dr on several
accasions and they never have a solid
answer and suggest that I do
liquids/yougrt for two or three days but
still have the problem coming back.
Nobody has a answer as to what causes this
and was wondering and starting to do some
research for my self. Hope to here from
you. I am using my brothers computter. I
do not have internant access at my home as
of now. You can send information-commits
to him and he will forword to me..I live
in s.Dakota--also my phone number
605-228-2803--to where I can be
called---hope to talk to
you---gordo--829-----p.S.--would realy
like to talk to over the
telly-----thx--gordo

Sorry to hear your having problems, lately
I have been feeling ok, I will say I take
1 phazyme a day which is like gas x so
maybe that has helped im not sure I was
just told by my orthopedic doctor that the
cause of my rectum problems(pressure) is
due to having degenerative disk disease in
my lower back because I sustained an
injury from a motor vehicle accident I
have 2 herniated disk, and unfortunately
the only way to correct my problem is to
have a complete disc removal which im kind
of nervous because they go through your
stomach and there are so many risk, and I
also know when having any type of back
injury will cause bowel problems, I also
started intaking more fiber between that
and the gas relever I dont have that
feeling of fullness, theres a site its
called www.Mayoclinic.Com
and if you go to flatuence itll give you a
list of things that will help you relieve
it and what causes gas ive tried some
of the things pepermint tea also helps as
far as eating yogurt it contains
acidopholous which is a live bacteria that
is good for your intestines it cleans away
the bad bacteria, I also take that, you
can buy pure acidopholous at any sore that
sells vitamins and thats suppose to help
with gas, if you cant find it its the
same as eating a yogurt a day, good luck I
hope you find a solution to your problem
