Having a Hard Time With Girls Names

Hello,
it seems that every name I suggest to my husband gets shot down, he just doesn't seem to like girls names in general I guess. The other day he actually suggested a name (!) much to my shock. Sooo...What do you think of the name haley rose for a girl? Honest opions please. Thanks!!

Baby Names

Before I knew that I was having a baby we decided on a name, one name and only a girls name, we were that sure. Raven noah. She may love it or hate it one day, but we love it. My son is camron o'dell.

Finally have got himself talking about the fact there really is a real baby on the way, and bonus he likes my names.

For a girl fleur is topping the list with either lana, elana, tianna or lianna as a middle name.

For a boy its a choice of harvey, haydn or yyler followed by bastian for a middle name.

Which do you like
girls:
fleur lana
fleur elana
fleur tianna
fleur lianna
boys:
harvey bastian
tyler bastian
haydn bastian

grr forum wont put capital letters onto names - keeps changing them to lower case Rolling Eyes

I Can't Believe I Am Doing This.

Ok you may not like it, but I figured I would share with you all anyway. I am 34 and haven't found my name anywhere yet save a couple of places. Never on a name site (unless I submitted it). So here goes.

Kitryn it is simple and everyone has always caled me kit, mostly if they couldn't say it. It sounds like "kit trin" but faster .."kittrin" - kitryn

you dont have to like it, it's just unique, and I thought I would share.

I also named my daughter a unique name, (i had to, didn't i?)

clareigh - sounds like "fairy", common (well not common) spellings are clary or clarey. Her name is clareigh kathleen. She is a button!

I have a son conor patrick (my husband is irish) and my other son's name is uncommon. I loved the irish name sean, but it was too common. So I went to my best friend in ireland who confirmed that my choice of seanan was indeed the original irsih version of sean.

His name is seanan michael , it sounds like shawnin. He nicknamed himself at 2 "seany" (shawnee) which stuck and he is 5. When seany hears "seanan!" he knows to run!

I love the name hayley rose. But I know 7 hayley's under the age of 6. However, (i didn't at the time) I know a few conor's also, but I still would have named him that because I liked it so much!

Good luck!

I Was Thinking
Posted: 08-03-04 14:51pm

I was thinking, a dangerous thing at times. Anyway when we named my son there was some dislike for the name that my husband wanted as his first name, so we compromised and choose one that he liked and one that I liked, that's where camron(mine) o'dell) his came from.. And in the end I think that it's a not so bad name. So I think that if you both get to pick a name or 2 then you both actively named your child.

I love it. Especially rose for the middle name.
Here are some variations of the spelling that I like better though:
haylie
hailey
