On my way to work this morning I got a phone call that devastated me. My doctor called to tell me that I tested positive for chlamydia. I am terrified. Not only do I feel dirty but I am angry. In the time frame that I contracted it ( I know exactly where it came from) me and my ex started talking and pretty much got back together. Now that I know I have tested positive I have to tell him and I don't know how. I am afraid that he will hate me and leave. How should I do this?

That's a very hard question to answer, have you two had sex since you were diagnosed? You definatly have to tell him and he probally will be upset. Put youself in his shoes something like this would be a big shock so I wouldn't expect him to totally understand. Also don't let him make you feel bad and walk all over you. This is a hard thing for you to deal with and you never ment to contract it. My advise be prepared for any situation and be okay with the decision that is made.
Good luck!!

Have Faith
Do you know if it effects him, even if you're treated? I don't know much about it but 2yrs ago I got my first exam & they told me that I had excess discharge & it was a very mild case of chlamydia and said it can be treated with an antibiotic but I didn't need it unless it got bad. And I haven't had any problems or any of my sexual partners being affected at all. Anyway hun, I would begin treating it before you have sex with him long enough where he can't be affected, personally. I would find out all the facts of how affects you & him so you can inform him. And deffinately don't let him say anything like yur dirty or slutty beacuse no matter if you have had sex with 1 guy or 10 guys you are at risk for std's, be strong & treat it. I truly wish you the best on informing yur boi if he's genuine he'll see that it wasn't yur fault for getting it and yur really torn up & feel awful inside about it. Good luck, let me know if you have any questions or feel like venting about it aiight? Smile
