Q: Tummy Tuck

I've been doing a lot of research on tummy tucks. I'm interested in getting one because I have a lot of loose skin from having babies. No problem with muscles though. Has anyone had one and what was your experience like - especially the pain factor.

My mom had a tummy tuck years ago and it did look very painful. The end result was great. I myself have been thinking of having it done. It took her a long time to get back in the swing of things. A lot of stiches. Negra

My tummy tuck was nothing compared to lipo (just my opinion). I don't think my doctor did my tuck as tight as I wanted it, but it sure was worth any pain that I endured.

Do the Research First
Find a reputable plastic surgeon. Ter are many who give free consultation, or that fee is taken form your total once oyu do decide to have the surgery with that certain Dr. There are so many to choose from, first do your homework. Many offer free seminars on lipo, augmentations etc. Make a list of questions to ask, and also ask if they have patient you can speak with who has had this procedure done by them. My own Mother had this procedure done as well. Its all in finding a great plastic Dr. and not having expectatons that are not real!
