Determining the Root Cause of Your Bad Breath
Posted: 12-04-07 16:17pm

Well, I would think that the most important step in bad breath elimination is to determine the root cause of your bad breath first. Not many know that there are many different causes for your bad breath. Most of time we blame it on dental hygiene.

However, the underlying cause of bad breath could be due to:

1. Infections

2. Allergies

3. Food we Eat e.g. Garlic:

4. Others

If you want to eliminate your bad breath effectively and permanently, then you should understand the cause unique to you. Only then, would you be able to determine the appropriate solution for your needs.

Hope this helps.

I have had bad breath for years and I am a dental technician. I found out that I have cryptic (filled with holes) tonsils that trap food and then bacteria. On a weekly basis, I have to push my tonsils free of the collected debris. I now have fabulous breath. I also HIGHLY recommend a sonicare toothbrush. I have not brushed properly until I got one

When you guys say that you had bad breath... you mean EVERYDAY?
I suffer from REALLY BAD breath sometimes. It's not everyday... more like 2 or 3 times a month on average, some months maybe more and other months less.
It's very frustrating 'cause i don't know what's causing it, and i don't think it's got anything to do with poor oral hygiene. Cause, like I said, it's not all the time. I would think that if I'm bad at cleaning my mouth it would ALWAYS smell. And it doesn't.

First, there's the kind of bad breath that you can get rid off by either brushing your teeth or even chewing gum. Like morning breath, or the stale breath you get when you haven't eaten anything or opened your mouth for a long time. Or the kind you get when you have eaten onions or garlic or some other smelly food. No troubles there, i know how to handle this type of bad breath.

BUT, sometimes, i get a whole kind of bad breath. It has been described to me as 'putrid'. I can't smell it, i wouldn't even know if people hadn't told me.
At first I thought it was because i was eating foods that made my stomach acid, like spicy tomato sauce, so i stopped eating pasta... sad for me, i love it, but for the sake of my stomach and breath, i did it. I got by for a while without this bad breath, but later, it came back. And my stomach didn't feel acid, nor had i been eating anything that could be considered a smelly food.
When my breath gets like this, i brush, i floss, i gargle with mouthwash, but that doesn't make it go away. I don't like to talk as to avoid offending people with my odor, but i've been told even the air that comes out of my nostrils while breathing smells equally bad.
Anyone know why bad breath can come and go like this?

Well, I'm guessing you should ask him, aaron... I don't know anybody who's breath doesn't smell of the thing they last ate. If you do find out, let us know what his secret is! lol

Hi guy,

I am not sure that whether is your bad breath is fully cure or not. But what I going to tell you is there is a solution that will not get you hurt, will not cost you pay for expensive dentist fees and just a simple way then you can say good bye to your bad breath. You may wondering why I do helpful that's because I also having the bad breath problem therefore I understood how embarrassing when we talking to our friends.

If your bad breath is not that serious, you may try the following tips:
1.To check your breath: Use your tongue to lick your hand and smell on the spot or you can tell by your friends expression when you talk to them very near
2.Brush your teeth as regular times
3.Use mouth wash which alcohol free and contain fluoride
4.No taking spicy food, meat, onion and the food that cause a strong smell
5.Only take sugar free chewing gum
6.Drink apple cider vinegar

If the above step still cannot solve your problem, and you really want to solve your problem, then you may try to have a look at my blog see whether can help you to solve your problem.

cheers,
someonecares Wink
