Q: Stress, Surgery, Divorce And No Period

Hi, I am a 31 year old mother of 2. I had surgery in march, had a very heavy period after surgery, had a normal period in april, and in may had one normal, and then about a week and a half later(may 19th I stopped), had another that only lasted 2-3 days. I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it was negative. On top of the surgery, I have just gotten a divorce(nasty) and stressed about hospital bills, lawyer fees and just regular stuff.....And advice is greatly appreciated....Wondering if a pregnancy test would have showed yet....
Confused

Stress
Stress can definately stop your periods!See your gyn as soon as possible. You would have tested pos for pregnancy as soon as your 1st missed week if you used an otc preg test. Those are very accurate.I would see my doc and give yourself a break-sounds like you need one.

Hi Sunshinefromthesky!
Were you married @ the time of surgery? If you were they can go after him, if you are low-income you can get legal assistance, and you can also get help from certain companies with and the federal, state and cities also have debt consolidated businesses that can help, in the meantime send $5.00 to each bill(att'y, dr's., hospitals, misc) and call them and let them know you can only send this much until you get on your feet better. Something is better than nothing. They should except this! Hope this has helped! I went thru a similar situation!
Anesthesia can sometimes cause your system to be out of wack for a while.
Sincerely,
sandy

Yep, Im Pregnant, Ru486
Yep, I am pregnant...But only a few weeks, maybe 5. I am considering taking the ru486 since the doctors say my liver is not strong enough yet since I just had surgery. I have always been pro choice, but that was for someone else, never me......I need input here, I cant talk to anyone else about this.......Help!
And thanks for the advice on the medical bills.....

Is your ex husband the father or are you with someone else, just curious if you have any support during this.

I have support in this, thank god its not my ex's....I am in a long term relationship, together for 2 years and engaged, however, he is also worried about my health. My liver isnt very strong, and isnt working properly Sad otherwise this wouldnt be an issue....We want a baby, but right now, my health is at risk....Whats more is that I have been on the depo provera for nearly 5 years, and apparently, having surgery could have affected it.....
