Q: Scheduled For Hysterectomy? But Is It the Right Thing?

I have had a medical history of about ten years with bleeding, cramping, migraines and depression. I had the surgery that burned the lining of your uterus about two years ago. The bleeding is coming back and the migraines are getting severe. I'm on fmla at work and just feel bad all the time. My gyn and nuerologist both feel that a full hysterectomy would benefit as they feel that estrogen may have a lot to do with the migraine complication. I have tried several treatments of birth control, seizure meds, blood pressure meds and depression meds.

I do not have cyst, cancer or endo so this is soley for bleeding and migraine.

Does this seem like a severe solution?

Did anyone have a hormone panel before surgery? Could a hormone balance cause all these problems?

Does anyone have a similar experience.

Thanks for your comfort and comments.

Hi
I also had very very heavy bleading and suffered from excrutiating migraines Sad if given the chice again I would not opt for the hystrectomy,
i still suffered from the migraines afterwoods until I saw a natural practitioner who told me that I had systemic candida and that it was probably the cause of the heavy bleeding, she also tested me for food intolerances and put me on a strict candida diet which stopped my migraines of 20yrs and I havent had one since !! Hope this helps
