Embarassed ok, I have a question i'd only ask you girls. Of course I shave down there, and I always, always have what is like razor burn for a few days after...... I use sensitive skin shaving gel and a venus razor. Not like a bic, walmart brand razor. Any idea on what I can do to stop the..... Bumps! Embarassed

I always have razor burn from it too. I always have used a man's razor. Gillette sensor. I decided to buy one of those venus things and it is a piece of crap! Sorry, it just doesn't work nearly as well as my old razor does.
The intuition razors also suck.
You can try bikini zone. You will find it at wal-mart with the nair and wax products. You just put it on after you shave and it does help a little. I also read on another post here that if you get "hair cholesterol" and put it on after shaving for like 15 minutes and then wash it off that is suppose to help a lot. You can buy it at a sally's beauty supply or with the products for coarse hair. I haven't looked hard enough to find it yet. Rolling Eyes
those dang things they advertise on t.V, what is it called, oh darn, you know what I mean that little hair removal thing???? They sell it in the stores now, but I can't remember the name. My friend bought it and said it isn't worth crap, so don't waste your money there. If I think of anything else, I will let you know.

Yes a men's razor is a really good idea, I use one, because they're made for more coarse hair than leg hair which is what venus etc seems to only work on! Also, try not to shave 'against the grain' if u know what I mean... Shave with the hair not against it, or at a 90 degree angle to the hair.. If u avoid going totally against it, I find u get less spots and rashes.
Hope this helps Smile
luv, loren.

I guess I should correct myself here. I have never used the intuition razor. My friend bought one and told me that it sucked. But, I guess I should try it for myself. Wink
i have to "go against the grain" or it wont all come off. But, it sucks, and it hurts and I know that is why I get most of my problems. I wish I was rich and could get it all permanently removed. Ah, that would be so nice Cool

I use a schick quattro and o man is it wonderful!!! I use soap, not shave gel, and I pull the skin tight (lo) and the shave with, then against the grain, but lightly when you are going against it. I dont have a very big problem with razor burn there....I get it on my thighs though...It sucks....Lol.

I get it still. .The only way I dont is if I wait a few days between shaving.. But I think a guys razor works better because they are more built for the tougher hair rather then thin leg hair.

I used to always get razor burn and ingrown hairs and then I would get really itchy when it would start growing back (i get lazy lol), but I started taking baths instead of showers and I soak for like 15 minutes before I shave, and that will cut down on razor burn and ingrown hairs(i read it in a magazine) and do not shave against the grain, you will get bumps! I used one of them venus razors and some skintimate shaving gel (for sensitive skin, I dont know if it all is for sensitive, lol kevin buys it). I do this every time I shave and I do not suffer from a single bump, razor burn rash deal, or itchyness....

Try putting alcahol on it right after shaving, I use to do that and it stopped those bumps from coming. I know it burns for a few seconds, but better then those nasty bumps.

I know I didn't say you're wrong, it's just funny you guys talking about this and posting pics of yourselves afterwards but what you dont realize is that this message board is open to the entire world of the internet!!!
See what I mean, I mean it's fine you guys talking about this, but posting pics of you and talking about stuff on a universal web page.

Well its not like we really care what some person thinks about us who lives halfway across the world. Its the internet, everybody here knows that pics and information can be seen but obviously it dont bother us if we're puttin it on here.

Well , I shaved down there one time I had razor burn and ingrown hairs and I never did it again. But I still don't have a jungle down there , I cut the hair with scissors, of course I don't remove all of the hair (which I don't like anyway) ,but I do cut it really short.
