Hairy Situation.

I'm a 17 year old girl and I would consider myself a very hairy person. It seems like I have hair everywhere, it's on my arms, torso, toes, feet, etc. The thing that bothers me most is that a have a happy trail leading from my chest to pubic area. All my hair is realitively faint, and nobody has ever said 'woah, your hairy'. But it still bothers me though.

All of it I can probably shave off except for the area from my belly button to pubic area. The hair is thicker there and it leaves little black dots, so you can tell you had a 'problem'.

Does anybody else a a problem similar to this? Would you recommend any methods of hair removal?

I have the same problem. My husband barely notices it but it seems like a big deal to me. I'll shave my legs but not anything else. I use nair on my belly and toes, sometimes my arms. I've also tried waxing. Waxing is great except for the pain and i'm usually a little red for a few hours afterwards. Nair doesn't hurt but the hair does come back faster than waxing. Some one posted laser surgery. You could also try electrolysis if you have the money. The thing about laser surgery or electrolysis is that the hair can still grow back and you have to get many treatments before its gone permanately. That can get really expensive. My suggestion to you is to not shave your arms, toes or belly. The hair will show up more when it grows back. Also, after shaving, waxing, or chemical (like nair) put on lotion. It helps keep me smoother longer. Or you can try surgicream from the cosmectic department in stores like wal-mart and target. They help keep the hair from growing back as fast. Good luck to you and I hope this helped.

Avoid shaving unwanted hair as it does tend to grow back thicker, darker and much more noticeable.

I have had a problem with unwanted hair above my top lip since I was 13, and after waxing for years (i am now 24) I have recently decided to go down the path of laser hair removal.

So far I have had two treatments and may need another two to complete the process. Yes it is a little more expensive, but if I think about how much I have spent on waxing and creams over the years then this is the much more sensible option. Because they can treat larger areas with laser it is also very quick, and relatively painless.

I have definately noticed a difference in the amount of hair in the area, and I look forward to being hair-free once my treatments are all done!
