Q: Could I Be Pregnant?

My last period was august 25. So I am due for one any day now. For the last week and a half, I have been spotting somewhat. I started out spotting just every other day, now it has been everyday for about a week. Me and my boyfriend had sex about two and a half weeks ago. And we did use a condom, but I am not on any birth control pill. I also feel tired all the time and have frequent headaches. I also have some chest pain (or pressure) and dizziness. Can someone please help? Could I be pregnant? Can the spotting be caused by something else?

yes you could quite possibly be pregnant as you said you had sex a couple weeks ago which would have been around the time you were most fertile, condoms are great to protect against std's, but I wouldn't rely on them for birth control. As for the spotting, some women do have spotting when they fall pregnant, due to the embryo atatching itself to the lining of the uterus. You said you are tired, and that is a sign of pregnancy but I would have thought it would be a little early to have those symptoms just yet. I would expect that at 5 - 6 weeks but everyone is different. The chest pain and dizziness I would be concerned about, that doesn't sound so great, i'd be making a doctors appointment on that one. In the mean time I swear by home pregnancy tests to give you a rough idea, then when you go for your doctors appointment, ask for a confirmation, they will do a blood or urine test depending on your doctor. Good luck !!

I congratulate you on using a condom, but like suzy said they aren't always very effective. I think she answered most of your questions Smile
