My Crazy Birth Story

Ok so on tuesday june 1st I went for my weekly ob appt. And I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced I wasn't quite 37 weeks yet so they put me on bedrest to see if they could hold me off a little. The next night I layed down to do my fetal kick count and the baby wasn't moving at all ( my Dr. Wants 7 kicks in 2 hours 30 min. After any meal). Well 2 hours passed and she had only moved once so I called and they told me to come in to be monitored. After about an hour on the monitor and a bunch of juice she finally started moving. I only had like 3 contractions while I was there and since I was on bedrest they didn't check me b/c they didn't want to irritate my cervix and make me dilate even more. So, thursday was pretty uneventful all day. I was just kinda laying around enjoying not being at work. I was peeing a lot and my back was hurting but I wasn't really having any contractions. That night was a full moon and it was really nice out so I took a shower (i was really lazy that day!) and daniel and I were gonna go for a walk. Well I went to the bathroom and put some shorts on when all the sudden I just started having contractions and horrible back pain. They were coming like every 2 minutes! I was on my hands and knees on the living room floor crying. My sister-in-law called and I told her what was going on and she told me I needed to call the Dr. Asap. I was like but you have to have regular contractions for an hour before they want you to call. She said I needed to call right away so I did and they told me to give it till 11:00 and if they were still bad to go straight to the hospital. By the way all this started at 9:45 pm. So I started cleaning the house and then we stopped at the bank and I called nikki so by the time we got to the hospital I think it was about 11:30. In the meantime all our family in atlanta is frantically packing trying to get up here before I had the baby! When I got there they put me in a room right away and checked me. I was 4 cm and 80% effaced and begging for an epideral! They had to start my iv and give me a whole bag of fluid first! I thought that bag was nevver gonna end! Then they said they needed to check me again to make sure that there was still time for an epideral! I was like omg there better be! I was 6cm and 100% effaced. This was only like an hour later. So i'm getting all upset thinking my family isn't gonna make it! They did the epideral which was kinda uncomfortable but I was in so much pain I didn't care! As soon as I layed down from the epideral my water broke which was really funny b/c I though I peed on myself! Lol! Anyway after that my labor really slowed down and I stayed 6 cm for hours. They came in probably around 3:30 and started some pitocin and they put in an internal monitor to watch my contractions. Then I started feeling pain on my left side again so the had to give me more pain meds through my epideral. They checked me like an hour later and I was 8 cm then my family finally got there at about 5:30 am and they checked me again and I was 9.5 cm. So at 6:30 I was complete and I started pushing at 6:45. I was still really numb so it was kinda hard to push at first. I pushed for 2 1/2 hours and they had to use the vaccum but my baby girl was born at 9:16 am on friday june 4th. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. And was 19 in. Long. Ok theres a lot more b/c as most of you know I got really sick after I had her. I was finally diagnosed with eclampsia but i'm really sick of typing so that story will have to wait til another day!
