Q: Miracle Ball Method for back pain

I've just invested in the miracle ball method which seems to be helping albeit very slowly. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this method and what results they have had so far? I've only been at it for about one week and so far there have been slight but noticeable improvements in my back and even in my feet and legs.

For anyone who doesn't know about it, the miracle ball method involves resting on one or two small inflated balls, targeting problem areas around the body and allowing the body's own weight combined with deep breathing to loosen tight muscles. I have to say that at the very least I have experienced good temporary relief while using this method and for the price it's definately the best and cheapest investment i've made for my back so far.

Well i've been persisting with this method, doing about half an hour of ball therapy a day. I have definately loosened up some muscles in my back and feel a noticeable reduction in pain. The pain is still there but it's not as fierce as it was before. Prior to this therapy my pain was unbearble, at present it is managable. My core problems which are two hypersensitive areas, upper-back and mid-back, still exist with only minor improvement. I remain hopeful that improvements will occur over time and because of the degree of relief I have experienced so far I feel motivated to continue the therapy if only to keep the pain that has gone from returning.

I've just finished a session and have now started adding some yoga moves to the mix. Some of these moves where previously too painful to do for any sustained period. There is one particular stretch which offers some great relief to me and I will try to find a photo to post here.

I'll check back here now and then, use this as a type of diary thread to give an empirical account of my therapy in action. What I aim to achieve within the next 6 months: I hope to see fundamental improvement in my spinal alignment, posture and an almost total eradication of my back pain. I will be using ball and yoga combined therapy and I might just visit my chiropractor for a few sessions if his pockets are lucky (they get paid well!)

Spectacular!
The results you are achieving by graded exercises and stretching demonstrates assiduousness, tenacity, and an excellent foundation for functional rehabilitation. If all pain patients were so motivated.....Sigh....
Well done!

They Worked For Me
Since having my accident 2 years ago i've had back and neck pain nearly non stop. I am moving to a new house this week and happened to be in a book store and saw the miracle ball book that came with the two balls. Let me tell you! I haven't been able to do some of the things i've been doing since my accident. I put in a new wood floor and painted a couple of rooms. It really worked well for me. I feel like the chiropractor hurt me a little more than he helped, although he did help in some ways. I was looking up more information about the miracle ball method when I found this forum. I hope to get a lot out of it. Btw- I spent $17.95 on the book and balls. Thats nothing compared to what I got out of it.

the Miracle Ball Method!!!!
I have had chronic back and neck pain for the last four years due to having low back surgery and a car accident afterwards and i had purchased the miracle ball method yesterday thinking what have i got to lose. I would recommend this to anyone who has pain. i feel tottally relaxed when i am finished. My goal is to be off of the pain meds and muscle relaxers that i have been on for the last 4 yrs. I know it will take some time due to the severity of the pain but i have hope. Like i said before, i would recommed this to anyone.
