Ok I was watchin fear factor last night, and I got a call and it was "unknown" and it was one of those contests to win money and stuff so I was like..Ok? And then they said they needed my card number to join and ill get a free watch and a magazine, so I was like..Ok but I have to get back to you because I need to ask my husband on this. And they were like well its only $3 a week. So I was like ok fine. And then all of a sudden after all that they say I have to pay 39.93 a month for this magazine for like 2 years, I said oh hell no I cant pay that!!!! And he was like well the transaction already went through and your magazines are already ordered so you cant exactly cancel, why would you want to cancel? And they wont be ready for another 2 months and I still have to pay for them! I said because thats alot and I havent asked my husband!! And he was like why would you need to ask your husband? I was like um hello!! Thats alot of money to waste! So finally we hung up and I was so mad at myself for that so I called my bank this morning and told them so she was like ok as soon as that payment goes through, come in and file a claim to get your money back. And I was like whew ok!
And worse this guy wouldnt give me the company or a number to call to cancel, he said "id get it in the mail". Im still mad. I was stressing about this *all* night. So as soon as that dumb thing goes through im heading to my bank!!! Errrr im still mad at myself!!!

You really need to cancel your credit card or have them send you new cards with a new credit card number. That way if he tries to use it again it will get declined.

There was somebody here doing scams, where they would send you something in the mail saying you had a fine from back in the day that needed to be payed and they would offer either a cheaper price to pay, or some people would get "or else" type letters, so then people were paying these fines they thought they had... It was all over the news sayin if you got a fine in the mail to call the cop shop to check to make sure whats real and whats fake...

Yeah I get a lot of calls like this, I just stay on the phone and fuss with these health question people working on commision, and when I get tired I hang up in their face. The reason they are so ruthless is b/c they work on commision, and that is why I really don't deal with anyone who doesn't get a base salary.

What would be even better is if you act real interested and make them think you're going to bite and keep them on the phone for hours and then say no! They wasted an hour talking to you and didn't even get any commission!!!

Of course, you'd have to waste an hour with them too, but it'd be fun if you were bored.

Lol kevin answers the phone and says "joes barbershop" when its an unknown or blocked call... Cuz then you dont gotta deal with anything and they just say sorry wrong number and never call back cuz they think its a business... Otherwise you gotta say take me off your calling list and all that crap and then they babble for like a half an hour about if we change our mind, or to quik tell us about what they are sellin to see if we still want off the list and all that gay telemarkerter crap... Lol but he used to answer it saying " petes porn and pizza" but I told him not to say that no more cuz it would ruin my appitite... Laughing how can people sit there and eat pizza while watchin porn? Thats just gross...

If its one of those miracle electric blankets or credit cards or new technologically advanced weight loss pills calls I always tell them I already have one or have been using it for years and that I just love it and thank you for making such a wonderful product. It makes them happy to hang up!

Lol yeah I do that at work, like I just hang up on them or say they have the wrong number but on my cell it just shows up as unknown. So I answer it because my sisters number shows up like that and one time stacey called me and it was unknown but I got sucked in. And im not a happy camper

Argh! Fix It Quick!
Hi nikki,
i'd call the bank again and get them to do something drastic with your card/account..... Because some unknown person now has your cc number and therefore can do whatever they like!!! Instead of having to claim back $40 you may end up with a maxed out card in a day! Seriously, i'd deal with it now Mad what a scam!! No wonder you're angry..
Luv, loren Smile

ps. I live in aust so i'm not sure how your american banking system works, but I assume they're pretty much the same.... If someone here gets your credit card details, you're scr*wed.
