This question is way too broad. It really
depends on having some idea of when the
problem occurs/what causes it & what
if anything you've tried before.
My daughter (16) finally self-diagnosed
irritable bowel syndrome & so long as
she doesn't eat the wrong foods she's fine
but any wrong food & she can be in
major pain.
But there are other reasons/causes
including, stress, other illnesses,
allergies etc.

Actually too much fruit can be a disaster
as can the wrong vegetables - in my case
too many green leafy vegs & i'm in
trouble & with my daughter potato,
sweet potato, corn are all out - so we are
all different.

Did She Try Zelnorm? Posted: 07-09-04 07:42am
Hi,
i have ibs from anxiety - at least that is
what my gastro said. It would start with
really bad pains when I would eat fatty or
spicy foods or even if I felt nervous or
upset. I felt bloated and crampy all the
time - like all of this air was stuck
inside me. He put me on the zelnorm - 2x
daily and after a day or two it kicked in.
With me I had the stomach pains and
constipation - some people have diareah.
It caused me to have the bid d for only a
day (side effect - says on the package
insert) but then it worked fine. So long
as I take it, I have regular movements, my
stomach doesn't hurt. Plus the bloating
went away and I can finally fit into my
jeans again. Now if I can only get rid
of all the other problems!
