Well you can get wic if you are considered to have low income. I have wic. And I am 7 months pregnant. What you do is get the number to your local wic office. It stands for women infant children and make an appointment. They'll ask you to bring like your i.D, soc sec card ect ect and also pay stubs from work if you have any. They'll ask you a bunch of questions of what you eat and so on. You'll also see a nutritionist there. You get like four coupons a month and they'll give you enough for like 3 months then you have to go back to get more. And when the baby is born you take your child too. If you breastfeed, you will be covered with your child. If you formula feed, they supply you with the formula and your child is covered for like the first 5 years of life. This is what I get like every month. 5 gallons of milk, 2 46oz's of juice, peanut butter, cereal, eggs and cheese. They have certain kinds you can get. They explain it all to you. Im up on my coupons as of july 2nd so on july 1st I have to go there and take a breast feeding class and then ill get my other supply of coupons. When my son is born ill be taking him there with me to get him on it as well. Good luck and I hope this answered your questions. ~ erica.

Erica , how old are you and how old were you when you applied? When you applied did you live with your parents? Did you work when you applied? And if you did live with your parents at the time did they base it on your income or theirs? And with the income req.'s if you are pregnant do they include the baby in the family size? And did you have to get some kind of physical first or did they do it there? And last, when you went to apply did you get approved that day or what?

Sorry for all of the questions but I don't want to waste my time and go just for them to tell me that I don't qualify.

Thanks

K well I am 20 and I was 20 when I applied. And no I didnt live with my parents but I was living with my boyfriends mom and still am. Also they give you the physical there and I dont think they include the baby in the family until the baby is born. And yes I was working when I applied and I am still working. And yes I approved the same day. You will too most likely so I really recommend you give it a try. ~ erica.
