Q: Am I Pregnant? *urgent*

Hello, I have been having what seems to be alot of symptoms of pregnancy for the past week. Its very possible I could be pregnant because I have had alot of unprotected sex with my boyfriend lately. I have had symptoms like fever, chills, nausea in the morning, mood swings, fatigue, excessive thirst, pouring sweat and getting hot for no reason (like when im just standing in the house), and bad gas. And I know its not a contagious virus or anything because my boyfriend has kissed me many times since I have been "sick" and neither him nor anyone else in the house has got sick. It's still about 2 weeks until my period, but I want to know, does this sound like I could be pregnant? Also tonight I broke out into hives all over my legs, is that normal to happen if your pregnant? Maybe from stress? Thank you

It is impossible to know if you are pregnant before your period is missed. Most women do not display any symptoms of being pregnant until a few months into pregnancy. All you can do is wait until your projected period date and if it is missed than take an hpt or get a blood test taken from a physician.
If you are not planning or wanting to become pregnant, unprotected sex is definately not smart. You may want to consider getting on some form of birth control.
Best of luck in the future.

Well i've been doing quite a bit of research on this lately, and I have read that you can start feeling pregnancy symptoms as early as several days after conception. I believe it varies from person to person. I am a healthy, active, young person, who rarely gets sick like that anymore, especially not in the summer. It's all very unusual for me. That coupled with the fact that no one else in the house is sick and i've had alot of unprotected sex lately makes me think that the chances of me being pregnant are very likely.

You Could Be?
If a female has unprotected sex of course there is a chance of her becoming pregnant. But also its not as easy as you think to become pregnant.Believe me I know. Some of the symtoms do sound like pregnancy symtoms but they also sound like symtoms of many other things.Just because you are rarely ill does not mean that you will never get sick. How long have you been with your boyfrined? Do you trust him? It may be worth also getting checked for any std's im not trying to scare you im just offering my point of view and some advice. The only way you will know for sure is to take a hpt.Or I thik your doctor should be able to do a blood test for you earlier but you will have to wait till your period is due and take hpt then.

Hope all goes well. Will you keep the baby if you are pregnant?
Take care

Well, I didn't have unprotected sex just one time. I had it maybe 5-7 times. We were using the "pull-out method" which um.. Isn't very effective. I know for a fact he got some sperm inside of me the other night. No i'm sure my boyfriend doesn't have any std's and i've been with him for 1 1/2 year. I know I won't be able to find out for sure until I am able to test. Yes we would keep the baby if I found out I was pregnant because we don't believe in abortion.

Feeling Prenant? My Experience
For all of you that are wondering if you can "feel" pregnant, before you know for sure:

yes! Laughing
with my son, I couldn't get my shorts up past my thighs and I was only six weeks along. By then, I was queasy, tired, my breasts were tender and unfortunately for my husband, I was a beast (due to increased hormone levels). But, if you'd ask him, he knew I was pregnant because I started to cry when I couldn't get into those shorts. Until that day, I just thought I was pmsing...
At six weeks girls, generally, you just realized that your period is late!
I thought I was only four weeks along.

But really, it depends on the person.

I've got a friend who says she started feeling "different" one week into her pregnancy.
Some people go for quite a while without noticing any changes.

I hope this put it in perspective for you

that's not true at all... I was showing every sign you can possibly show a two weeks after conception.. I took a test and it was way to early to tell so it was negative. Then a week later I went to the doctor and found out I was pregnant a week before my period was even due.

Most pregnant woman I know have shown signs before their period was due.

Yes I agree with megean. Dont be ignorant to someone who is looking for assistance in a situation. I mean I couldn't imagine how you must be to your friends who need guidance in their lives. Anyways despite the ignorant people on here smartblonde the reason I came to check this forum out is because I have all of the above symptoms except for the gas :) and my fiancee have been trying for about 3 months now. This morning I woke up at 4:00 and got sick, I have been restless, tired, sweating, nautious and just last night I was saying how hot it was in my house and everyone looked at me like I had ten heads :) I came on because I am excited. I took a test it was neg., but I am wondering if there is hope that I possibly could be pregnant. Or if it is just the flu. I hope all is well with you and congrats if you are. I need the same assistance that you need hun :)

those are symptoms of pregnancy! If I were u I would take a pregnancy test. A few days before your period. I found after being 5 weeks pregnant. Now I am 9 weeks and loving it.

I agree with agb131 because all the symptoms I am having I was thinking I was pregnant. Sore breast, tired, sweating, nautiousness etc. I found out yesterday. I took a test and it finally came out positive and I am only about 2 1/2 weeks along. And my period comes tomorrow 2 days before my period so natalie your wrong

it is definately possible to feel symptoms very early. I have been pregnant 10 times and 4 of them I knew the next morning. Call it intuition or symptoms I knew the next day. And they will come on and say well it wasnt even fertilized for like 3 days, and then 8 more days before implantation. I knew the next day--and I had symptoms within days. The very first day I felt like a cramping butterfly feeling in my abdomen. Uncomfortable--but not painful.

Well, I don't know if I am pregant but I have the same symptoms everyone is talking about. Everything I eat is like it needs to come up, I am having hot flashes, I will be cold or feeling good one minute and the next hot and sweaty. I am so tired I have been sleeping the whole day and then wake up and feel like I need some more sleep, I am going to the restroom more often and my eating you can see a change in it. Good luck to all.

Human Body Is Strange
I disagree with the person who said something like you cant have symptoms for the first few months. It could be so for some people- like the few who didnt even know they were pregnant until they were like 5 months or something.

For me, I had symptoms the first week that I was pregnant, peeing alot, nausea, and feeling like I was coming down with a cold. For me my allergies got really bad when I was pregnant!

Then again, since I have been trying to get preg again (lost my first one)
sometimes I think I have all the signs-like last month, my period was a week late, I thought for sure I was. The day after I took a test which turned out to be negative, I got my period.

This month my period is 2 days late and even though I think im experiencing some of the "usual" symptoms, im not getting my hopes up.

I think sometimes your body plays tricks on you! At least mine does. So who knows...I always had very regular 28 day cycle periods before my last pregnancy.

But then again, its only been 3 months since my still birth at 5 months along. I guess my cycle is wacked out now. Hopefully ill have a positive test next week!
