Back Pain Forum - serious pain on back and left side leg now

my mon has the disk herniation and she just come to visite me by long time flight. She has serious pain on her back and left side leg now. We want to get some advise before we go to see the doctor because she can not sit in the car. Which kind of non-precription medicine we can buy for pain killer and anti-inflammatory because when of my friend who is a student in medical school thinks she also has the inflammatory because of mving during the trip. Thanks for your guys' reply

The only anti inflamatory drug that I know of without a prescription would be ibuprophen, aleeve, which I take on a daily basis for a back injury, or tylenol arthritis. Which is a higher dose,

Aceteminophen(tylenol) is not an anti-inflammitory.It is an analgesic(pain reliever).Ibuprofen(advil,motrin)andnaprox en sodium(aleve) are the anti-inflammitories.800mg (4 200mg otc tabs)is prescription strength-but better to have md evaluation.
