Hey everyone, I recently returned from my honeymoon with a bladder infection. I went to the doctor and she took a urine sample, sent it to the lab and gave me a sulfa antibiotic to take because she was sure it was a bacterial infection.

A week later I got a call from the doctors office saying that I was resistant to the antibiotic. However, the symptoms have seemed to have gone away so I assumed it was working. I was actually resistant to four of the seven antibiotics they tested. Which is really what is scaring me. Especially because the doctor seemed quite concerned.

I am just wondering if anyone knows if the resistance is due to the strain of backteria I was infected with or if this is something to do with me and if I am going to continue to be resistant to these antibiotics with other infections?
